About Us

from my island heart to yours

One of my first island mornings

Vanuatu has been part of my story for as long as I can remember — a place of barefoot mornings, salt in the air, and a warmth that's more than just the tropical sun. Little Vanuatu is my way of sharing the memories, people, and places that make this island feel like home.

How Little Vanuatu began

I first came to Vanuatu as a child, long before I knew the word “luxury.”

My memories are stitched together with the scent of frangipani, the sound of water lapping against wooden boats, and the kindness of people who always had time for a story.

Over the years, the islands became more than a destination — they became part of who I am. Each return trip felt like opening a familiar book, yet finding a new chapter: a beach I’d never walked, a recipe I hadn’t tasted, a conversation that shifted my perspective.

"A personal journey of island memories and the people who make this place unforgettable."

Little Vanuatu was born from this lifelong bond. It's my way of capturing those island moments — the stillness, the flavours, the colours, the conversations — and sharing them with you.

Whether you're dreaming of visiting or already packing your bags, I hope you'll find stories here that make you feel as if you're standing barefoot on the sand with me.

Returning years later, finding the same magic still waiting for me

Hi! I'm Jane Doe

Writer, Photographer, Traveller

I grew up between cultures and coastlines, spending summers wherever the water was warm and the air smelled of salt and frangipani. Vanuatu was always the destination that stayed with me the longest — long after the tan faded and the suitcase was unpacked.

I believe in slow travel, authentic encounters, and finding the extraordinary in the everyday. Little Vanuatu is my invitation to you — to see the same islands I've come to love, through honest eyes and an open heart.
